This is an audio clip of me jamming with my band in our rehersal place. It is kind of seventies rock jam. This is not here to showcase my playing, musical ideas or my band and our musical style (we play many styles not just this one). So dont get judgemental on mistakes, quality of the recording etc. This clip is here just to show you one of the sounds I enjoy using and how I got it with my guitar sound effects.
This was actually recorded on a very old and primitive tapedeck recorder (its around 20 years old) with a built in small mic (hence the poor quality) and both, music and recording came out spontaniously. We never actually ment to record this, someone simply pressed recording button at some point. I didnt even bother to polish it in Cubase because I dont find it very importaint. However I decided to keep it because I really liked the sound.
To make the long story short here is the list of equipment I used and its setup.
Fox Stratocaster - Boss PW 10 wah – Marshall Bluesbreaker (Old MIE version) – Boss DD6 Digital Delay – Marshall Valvestate 8240 Amp.
Settings:
Fox Strat – Vol & Tone 10, Bridge pickup
PW 10 wah – Morley wah, Range 11 o clock, no drive (turned on and off an different parts of the jam)
Marshall Bluesbreaker OD – Gain – max, Tone 4 o clock, Volume 1 o clock
Boss DD6 Digital Delay – E.Level -1 o clock, F.Back – 3 o clock, Delay Time -2 o clock, Mode 300 ms – The delay pedal goes into stereo effect loop and I use both outputs from the pedal which I connect to both returns on the amp. This gives a true stereo effect.
Amp – Gain 12 o clock, Bass 1 o clock, Trebble 12 o clock, Middle 2-3 o clock, FX mix near max, Stereo Chorus: Rate 1 o clock, Depth 11 o clock
